Viewnior: A simple and elegant image viewer

Images are part of our every day Internet usage and a good image viewer is an integral part of a good operating system. Viewnior is one such application for Linux. Viewnioris an image viewer program. Created to be simple, fast and elegant. It’s minimalistic interface provides more screenspace for your images. Some of it’s important features are:

Fullscreen & Slideshow
Rotate, flip, save, delete images
Animation support
Browse only selected images
Navigation window
Set image as wallpaper (only under GNOME, see INSTALL file)
Simple interface

Install Viewnior

To install viewnior download the deb file mentioned at the end of the post. Double click it and install.

Running Viewnior

Go to Applications > Graphics > Viewnior to start Viewnior

The image-viewer is indeed quite good. Lightweight and fast, unlike Gwenview I used to take…

I have a suggestion: You should update this post as they puplished a new version of Viewnior (0.6). This new version brings some advantages: For example a preferences-menu to controll the behaviour of the programm.

i have used tis, it’s quite fast while loading the pictures in comparison of others. Image quality and usability are good. According to me the interface is laid in a proper way.
