Install IceCat 3.6 on Ubuntu 9.10
IceCat is a GPL version of Mozilla Firefox. Which means it’s totally free and does not have the non-free Firefox art work. Another reason to have IceCat on your machine is because you can have another browser to open side by side Firefox which has the same features as that of Firefox. You can install IceCat on your Karmic machine using the following command:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnuzilla-team/ppa
Once you have added the repositories all that is left is to install IceCat. To do so type the following command at the terminal
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install icecat
That’s all you have to do. Following is how IceCat looks:
Have fun with a total GPL product.

IceCat? Would I be right in guessing this is the replacement for IceWeasel?
Never really bothered with IceWeasel, it seemed to be another creation of a philosophy mismatch between open source devs.
