By default OpenSuse 11.2 comes with Firefox 3.5.4 and when you run the upgrade you’ll end up having Firefox 3.5.8. However, as we all know there’s Firefox 3.6 available for sometime now. So I decided to update my Firefox to 3.6 on my OpenSuse machine. Following is what I did to upgrade to Firefox 3.6.

1. Open a terminal window and type the following command:

sudo zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/mozilla/openSUSE_11.2/ openSUSE\ 11.2\ Mozilla

Next type the following to upgrade to Firefox 3.6

zypper dup -r openSUSE\ 11.2\ Mozilla

With in a few minutes (depending on your Internet connection speed) Firefox 3.6 will be installed.

Happy browsing.
