is there a command line utility to do this? I do not install XORG on my servers….

Yeah, the same is happening to me, I think there's a problem with that repository for now, but try it like this:

yum –disablerepo=InstallMedia install hardinfo

Actually, that error happens to me in every yum operation I try. :0
