AcetoneISO, is a Linux utility to mount and create virtual drives using files like ISO, BIN, NRG etc. If you wanted a solution to deal with ISO files on Ubuntu then this utility is just the perfect answer.

AcetoneISO, is a feature-rich and complete software application to manage CD/DVD images. Thanks to powerful open source tools such as fuseiso, AcetoneISO will let You mount typical proprietary images formats of the Windows world such as ISO BIN NRG MDF IMG and do plenty of other things.

Installation and Usage

Installation is pretty simple and straight forward on Ubuntu. Download the deb file, double click it to install.

You can start AcetoneISO by going to

Applications > Sound and Video > AcetoneISO

Once you start AcetoneISO, just click the mount button and navigate to the location where you have ISO file (or other supported format) to mount.

You can also generate ISO from your CD by going to

Image Conversion > Generate ISO from CD/DVD and it is:

And if you thought it was enough, you can convert various video formats to other video formats. You can also rip audio from a video file.
