RedNoteBook is one such application which will give you the option of having a journal running on your machine. RedNotebook is a graphical diary and journal helping you keep track of notes and thoughts. It includes a calendar navigation, customizable templates, export functionality and word clouds. You can also format, tag and search your entries.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Installation</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Installation of RedNoteBook is pretty easy.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1. Go to <span style="color: #888888;">System &gt; Administration &gt; Software Sources</span>.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">2. Click the tab that reads Third-Party Software and click Add.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">3. Add the following line</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">4. Download the GPG key for RedNoteBook (Link at the end of the post).</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">5. In order to import the key on the Software Sources window go to the tab that reads authentication.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">6. Click import key and import the GPG key that you downloaded.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">7. Close the Software Sources window. On the consecutive window click Reload.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">8. Now we need to install RedNoteBook. Drop to a terminal window and type the following command:</p>
